Tic-Tac-Toe is not just for kids….it’s a great way to make sure the burial site of your next service and its surrounding area is in tip-top shape.
Here’s how to play. Imagine a tic-tac-toe grid large enough to place the 4 grave lot containing the next burial site in that coveted center box. Now imagine each of the rest of the boxes in the grid containing the surrounding grave lots. Now that you’ve identified a grid, target these sites for extra care as part of the grave preparation process. I say “extra care” because you want these sites to be the best example of your standard of care as possible. These are the burials everyone attending the service will see and judge you on. Memorials should be trimmed and swept clean of grass clippings. Old flowers, debris and items that fall outside of your rules and regulations should be removed. Lastly, check the area for trip hazards.
Remember, even though we focus most of our attention on what’s going to happen under the tent, many potential clients and previously served families will be in attendance just outside its perimeter.
